Introduction
The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek is one of the most celebrated walks on earth — a journey that draws trekkers from every continent into a natural amphitheatre ringed by some of the highest peaks on the planet. Unlike expeditions that demand technical climbing skill, ABC is a trek that rewards ordinary trekkers with an extraordinary destination: a flat glacial basin at 4,130 metres, encircled by Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and the sacred, unclimbed Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain).
